Stability and Security: Keren’s Manifesto.
Stability and security have risen to the top of the priority list, as opposed to when I was a teenager, and fun/spontaneity were way more important.
I have found that when there is no stability/ security (psychologically, emotionally, or physically), I can’t fully enjoy an experience.
It’s a phenomenon, to feel yourself grow in such a way. Perhaps it’s the maternal instinct kicking in, but for the past years, I’ve found conservative values to be way more attractive than whatever Gen z is up to now.
I have found that when I take life step by step, things are simpler. When I cut down on things, embrace minimalism, my days are much more enjoyable than others. It’s better to have comfort/ simplicity with a peaceful life, than have multiple things/ people without having inner peace.
Family, intentional living, a comfortable life, stability, security, safety, these are the things I value. t is no use having everything, but no stability or solid foundation to base those things on. Following my purpose and being able to give kindness where I can make me feel better inside.
The older we grow, the more someone’s values and mindset are important, as opposed to how they look or how much money they have. There are many millionaires in the world, multi-millionaires as well. Growing up, I witnessed how a certain a family member would treat others horribly based on income factors.
I realized it's better to keep one’s self-respect and peace rather than be around people who look ‘worthy’ or ‘successful’, but with bad character and ethics.
Bad character and ethics destroy anything built. It’s better to harness humility, stability, and a sound mind, and build from ground up. Instead of valuing material appearances over a steady foundation.
