Often I find myself stressing about someone or something, but then it dawns on me that things are more complex than they seem. A win is only a win if value is attached to it. Once that perceived value changes (and it always does, because humanity has fleeting tastes), that win no longer holds as much weight.
The fact that my own wealth, my own acres of diamonds are with me eases my mind. For I know that despite the changing nature of human taste, I will always has infinite gold with me. Because the outside world holds no power. All power is with me to create everything I want in life.
