More thoughts on Stability and Security: Keren’s Manifesto.
It is attractive, the ability to be a rock and solid foundation. Children need that from mothers. Mothers either get it from their dads when they are younger, or cultivate it internally.
Now that youth is over, and we are in our 20s, stability and security are more attractive than ever. If I am building myself, I am attracted to people who want to be part of that and support that. In the same way, I do not shy away from giving support to people who are trying their best. For I know that trying contains the seed of excellence.
I’ve found myself being attracted to simplicity, stability and structure. It is truly attractive, modestly too. Minimalism, all these things just seem much more appealing to me now.
Black coffee every morning. Structure, processes, secure systems. This is what attracted me to the Asian way of life for so long, when I was living abroad. Conservative ways, minimalist values, are so peaceful. They take the unnecessary pressure off. A simple and stable life is way better than a chaotic and flashy one.
