HYBE Corporation Open and Closed Workplace Strategy
When it comes to the office working space of HYBE Corporation, open space is the original concept of the office design in line with the free and dynamic seating system.
The HYBE space is one that is flexible and reflects the characteristics of an entertainment industry by realizing the values of horizontal communication, flexibility and connectivity based on the philosophy of the Hyper Nomad by Jacques Attali. However, what was realized was that certain groups need a closed space with fixed seats or darker/ brighter lighting depending on the person. Some of the options to create a closed space include the following:
- Sliding Doors.
- Seats and Chairs.
- Ceiling.
Sliding Doors
Variable doors can be installed next to the grid area.
This enables for a quiet, closed and calm area to either hold meetings or do small group projects in.
A DALI System enables adjusting brightness for different sections to create spaces by need.
Seats and Chairs
There are seats designed to cater to the needs of the individual who wishes to do some projects solo. For the working environment, the most important thing is the chair.
Individual (single) and Group (four person) seats along the windows can be used to either have a private call or separate reading desk. This enables the member to work at their own pace with a view of the skyline.
The individual seats chosen are the design of “Aeron” by Herman Miller for desk chairs. The “Kevi Chair” by Engelbechts has been chosen for meeting rooms, one person seats and window seats.
The back is designed to curve through the length of one’s spine, so a good ergonomic chair will have an adjustable back that shapes the lower back perfectly, preventing one from slouching over long periods of time.
The HYBE Ceiling
Sound and light are an important factor when it comes to working. Therefore, the ceiling of HYBE Corp was designed in a way that prevents shadows from being cast onto the desks. The adjustable lights have 90+ CRI to reduce stress on the eyes. Many work related issues can be resolved with good and proper lighting. Office work is visually demanding and requires good lighting for maximum comfort and productivity. Good lighting simply means providing enough illumination so that people can see printed, handwritten or displayed documents clearly but are not blinded by excessively high light levels which can irritate them.
