Contemplation: Keren’s Manifesto.
When you are a young lady, everything seems so scary. You’ve had enough wins to be sure of yourself, but you’ve also made enough mistakes to doubt yourself. You’re not yet 30, but you’re also not 19 anymore. And thus the first metamorphosis of true adulthood takes place. It’s dramatic, it’s stormy, painful, but beautiful. But inevitable. Birth is always hard, rebirth is even harder.
At the end of it all those who dare take the leap shall receive a standing ovation. But when they look at the seats of the crowd, they shall see no faces. Only figments of their grandiose imagination.
If life imitates art, then I shall be the Mona Lisa. If music be the food of love, then I shall destroy the record player and dance to silence.
When I am done with my life’s work and it is time to retire, I’ll leave the human race with a gift. Just like Jules Verne did. Keren Obara will give the them a dancing star. Just like all the Masters of Science that came before her.
But I will not return to this planet. For I am in grave need of a soul vacation. Maybe Mars, when it recovers and supports life once again. Anything but Earth. I will watch from afar, as the rest of the star seeds figure it out.
